Field Service HD Fitter - Job Hiring in Australia

Barminco Ltd is currently seeking a highly experienced Heavy Duty Fitter / Field Services Technician to undertake work between our various underground mining operations throughout Western Australia.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Attending site underground emergency breakdowns on mobile equipment
• Diagnostic fault finding on mechanical and electrical systems
• Major repairs and servicing of heavy mining equipment.
• Ensure equipment is maintained safely to minimise cost and increase productivity
• Undertake risk assessments for jobs to be carried out on and around the plant, equipment and environs. 

Minimum Requirements:

• Solid history of working in a similar Heavy Duty / Field Services position.
• Trade qualification – Heavy Duty Diesel, ideally duel traded in Auto Electrics
• Previously worked in an underground mine doing FIFO
• Highly skilled in diagnostic and fault finding
• Experience with underground equipment - Caterpillar, Atlas Copco, Volvo IT Carriers, Sandvik & Tamrock Drills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills – able to communicate with people at all levels effectively
• Demonstrated ability to work safely
• Must have good time management and work priority skills
• Able to work individually and in a team
